Soccer practice begins next week.

Therefore, the kids have been practicing.

Trevor's been gearing up for the last few weeks.

Holly hasn't kicked a soccer ball in years.

But it's not something you easily forget.

I took loads of pictures.

It sure beat chasing after the ball.

Love the title! LOL
Team photographer is a much better job than team ball chaser!
Are the kids excited? Rachel started her practices this week, but we are waiting to hear from Hannah and Dan's coach. I not a huge fan of soccer season as it means most nights at the ball field for us, but thankfully it doesn't last too long and the kids have a great time.
Holly's looking forward to it. She knows about half the kids on her team from church. She hasn't played in several years, and it's co-ed, so she knows there will be some big differences!
Trevor is enthusiastic. He also knows a few kids on his team.
It's a Christian hs rec league. I don't know if I can explain this and make sense. There are 7? different teams, and the children from each family get put on the same team. Those teams are then broken down into age groups.
Each team is assigned the same practice night/time/location, so a family only has one practice night/time/location--just different fields, different coaches.
All games are played on the same night, same location, for all teams.
So, for example, Holly and Trevor are on the same team, but different age groups. Holly plays in the 13+ group, Trev in the 9-12, and there's a younger group too. The kids will only play against kids from other teams within their own age groups. While there are ~3 dozen kids on each team, there are ~1 dozen within each age group.
It's confusing, yet brilliant. LOL.
