And if anyone is a computer smarty, please share how it's done. (I know it narrows the number down between the color and a successive box, but how does it show up in the first door at the end? Or is it written to show up in the first door no matter which you choose? Because you can open other doors and they will have different numbers.)

Play the game using two screens and selecting different numbers. You will see how you narrow the numbers for them. And I assume when you open a second door, DIFFERENT numbers are then called up (ie before you open the first door, all the doors have"9" behind them. After you open one door, the "9"'s in the other doors change to random numbers.
